Welcome to my world

¡Bienvenido a mi mundo!

In essence, this serves as a mere medium to illustrate the world that exists in my own head, through words and pictures that I fail to properly express in reality.

The name is Carmel. As the subject noun, a complementary adjective would be complex, and the verb that best follows is create. "Carmel is a complex being who loves to create things". Easy.

That awkward moment when someone says they "Hate Religion, But Love Jesus"

This person claims he hates religion but loves Jesus. Upon my first watch, I was half-confused with what he believes, yet I understood the situation that religion has made flaws to contradict their beliefs.

Yes, I do agree with him on some points, how religion has divided us people. But he goes so deep into criticising religions that it overwhelmingly contradicts what he believes. There was a whole argument against this in which I would like to point out:

  • There is more to God than having a relationship with Him or Jesus. Jesus came down as the Messiah not only to build a relationship with the people, but to create something that would continue His teachings even after He 'expires' from this earth; that would be the Church. After His death, a multiplicity of religions were built to follow Him, which branch off under the umbrella of Christianity.
  • He claims that Jesus came to "abolish religion", but how can He abolish something He too created? Christianity, and the first Church known to man. Jesus specifically gave authority, before His coming death, to Peter (the gatekeeper of Heaven) -- And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matt 16:18). This is the moment in which Jesus created the first Church ever and anointed Peter to be the first Pope. The Pope holds the apostolic line in which each succession can be led back to Jesus Christ Himself. That is why the Catholic Church is the first and only Church to be founded by Jesus and thus He could not have abolished something He created
  • "the Father gives the kingdom to the Son, and the Son gives the kingdom to the apostles. The gift is transferred from the Father to the Son to the apostles." (Luke 22:29) as Jesus made the passover to the apostles at the last supper, He said this to give them authority to continue the Church, entrusting His teachings to the apostles which were for the people, through the Church where He is at the core.
  • A person on Facebook also pointed out "..Our man then clarifies — He loves the Bible. This is interesting. Did Christ hand out Bibles before he ascended into Heaven? No. The Bible is the product of a religion. A religion is called Catholicism"
It's true that religion has its flaws - but things from this earth are filled with flaws. If you believe in Jesus' teachings, then you would understand that God and Jesus are the only ones perfect. We are only human and although we try our best to follow what is good or to maintain the Church's holiness, we fail at times to fulfill the better.

I am only pointing out a few things I have learned. Here is another one which would suffice entirely against some of this person's bigoted views: [ click here ]. It's hard to believe that people praise this video.
